How to get more energy

Yesterday, my father and I were having a chat about my energy. He said I have two times the energy of a normal person. FYI, that is a great thing. He also mentioned that I need to channel this energy in the right away. I competely agree with him. I have the tendency to do too many things in a day. Rather than focusing on 10 things in a day, I will channel my energy to 2 to 3 things. Results will be posted in another post.

Why I have so much energy: I think the person I have more energy than the average person is exercise on a daily basis and eat healthy. You might think that exercise and diet does not help but studies have shown that regular exercise can benefit you. Also, I am a very happy person. I am rarely stressed and that results in even MORE energy.

Lessons learned: Eat right, exercise dail, and smile.

There are a lot of ways to network. Here are ways that work best for me.

Facebook - People think Facebook is useless but I disagree. Not only is it great for remembering friends’ birthdays but I have networked with some very interesting and like-minded people.

Twitter - My friend’s response to Twitter, “Isn’t just status updates?” I agree it is status updates but it is more than that. My friend got a job through Twitter (more on this on a later post). As my friend Sid said, “Twitter is the new medium.”

Weddings/Parties – Surprisingly, weddings and parties can be another way to meet interesting people. I met my best friend at a wedding.

Tweetups – People get together all over the world and these events are known as Tweetups.

Volunteering - I think this is one of the most powerful network tools out there. People are going there because they want to help someone or they believe in the same cause. Therefore, you will meet people that have similar interests and goals.

What to take away: Networking is very powerful. ”It’s not what you know but who you know.” Are you utilizing your social platforms the right way.
